    Summary: The HTML 5 will definitely contribute to a better Web. Despite its specification is still being drafted, several browsers like Firefox 3.5, Internet Explorer 8, Safari 4, Chrome 2 and Opera 10 already implement a significant part of the current HTML 5 specification.

    This article reviews a bit of the history of how we got to HTML 5 and presents an overview of the enhancements that HTML 5 introduces to provide a better Web.

    It also presents a reflection about whether HTML 5 will render useless browser extensions like Flash, Silverlight and Java.

    Description: This class can be used to convert values between metric (SI) and binary (IEC) systems.

    It can take values represented in unit of the metric and binary systems and vice-versa.

    The class supports units like byte, meter, gram and seconds to the SI standard but you can also define your own unit.

    It can also convert bytes to the binary system, for instance converting 1024 bytes to 1 KB.

    It generates links to pages where the user can authenticate on either Gmail, Hotmail, MSN Windows Live or Yahoo.

    Once the user authenticates, the user returns to a page with a script that calls the class so it receives request values that can be used to retrieve the contacts from the Web mail accounts using their Web service APIs.

    You will need to create applications for Yahoo and Windows Live to obtain API keys and secret phrases. For Yahoo you need to get your application access to read address books in applications settings.
