  • PHPSC Conf

    • PHPSC - a PHP user group of Santa Catarina in Brazil - is organizing an event dedicated to PHP that will take place at Chapecó on June 20.

    Manuel Lemos of the PHPClasses site will be attending the event to give a talk about PHP Web forms using AJAX and advanced plug-ins.

    It can check if a given cache file exists and is not expired. If so, it returns the cached data.

    If the cache file is not valid, the class can store the data for an optionally period of time after which it expires.

    The class can also explicitly invalidate a cache file by removing it if it exists.

    It can command an instance of the Internet Explorer running on the same Windows machine to make it open a given Web page.

    Several aspects of Internet Explorer can be controlled like whether its window will be visible and resizable, show the status, address bars and tool bars, and make the browser occupy the full screen.

    The class can grab an image the whole desktop screen or just the Internet Explorer window.

    The grabbed image can be saved to a given file in the PNG format (or GIF/JPEG if required).

    There are base classes that take care of generic date formatting functions and options.

    A base container sub-class provides functions to set and get each element of a date like the year, month, day, hour, minute, second, etc.

    There are also two sub-classes to change the default date format to the German format or ISO.

    The classes provide a fluent interface so several concatenated operations may be called within single statement.

    Easily to enhance by defining a new Q{LANGUAGE}Date class, where you only have to define the locale (like QGermanDate)=>

    class QNetherlandDate extends QDateContainer {
    const lang = 'nl_NL';
    const locale = 'nld_nld';

    ...
    }

    Now the Class creates month and day names for the Netherlands.


    class QFormat holds country specific date format rules.

    $f = new QFormat;
    $f->set({your-array-with-formats})

    Look at the class format for getting the array structure.

  • User Info

    It can analyze the user agent string sent by the browser in the current HTTP request and extracts the type of browser, user machine operating system, user machine IP address, accepted character set encoding, language name, and if the user is a spider/bot.

  • server.met Parser Class
